EDBA junior programs and services include:

• Support the operation of EDBA junior clubs. Click here to see a list of EDBA junior clubs and contact information.
• Provide structured coaching for juniors under the EDBA Junior Training Program.
• Centrally managed booking of badminton gyms for EDBA junior clubs
• Provide subsidies for gym rental and shuttles for EDBA junior clubs
• Fund and organize public and interclub junior badminton tournaments
• Fund and organize the EDBA Junior Interclub.
• Organize and sponsor development of junior badminton coaches through the EDBA Coach Development Program
• Support the development of badminton officials and pay for use of officials in junior tournaments
• Provide volunteers to support key junior badminton events hosted in Edmonton such as the Canadian Junior National, Western Canada Summer Games and the Alberta Winter Games.
• Work with municipal and provincial sports organizations to promote and develop junior badminton
• Collaborate with Edmonton schools for development and improvement of school junior badminton programs
• Advocate and promote the interests of junior badminton community with the City of Edmonton
• Donate badminton equipment to needy junior badminton organizations

The majority of EDBA junior badminton programs run during the normal school-year from September through June. These are augmented by junior programs during the summer months. Public and interclub tournaments typically run during spring. Liaison activities with other sports organizations occur throughout the year.

EDBA junior programs and services are open to the Edmonton public. We are always looking for ideas on how we can improve our junior programs and services.
