The EDBA is hosting its first ever EDBA Winter Junior Open Tournament. This new tournament is added to the traditional annual EDBA Junior Tournament to further encourage junor player participation in badminton tournaments. The EDBA Winter Junior Open Tournament will be hosted at the W.P. Wagner High School January 30 to 31, 2010. Please note that due to the large number of entries received, all U19 events for the EDBA Winter Junior Open are cancelled. We apologize for the inconvenience and disappointment this caused.
The EDBA focuses substantial resources and effort towards junior badminton development in Edmonton. There are 6 EDBA junior clubs which together, offer ample playing time for junior players. In addition, the Royal Glenora and the Derrick Club are private clubs which have dedicated junior badminton programs. Please see news and events for the latest information on junior programs and services.
The following table shows the playing time and club location for the 6 EDBA junior clubs. Some junior clubs provide playing tips and some coaching to junior players. Please contact the respective club representatives if you are interested in joining one of the junior clubs.
